It is true that there is one thing we all dread in life, just the mere mention of that word send s goose pimples to most of us. Let me go straight to the point, i was with a friend yesterday when he took a glance at his phone, he exclaimed and said is this true? curious, i ask what? he said that Dangote, the number one man in Africa that is the business mugul has fallen in an Hospital in Germany.
I was perplexed and lacked what to say because the words seems to have vanished from my lips. We tried other sites for confirmation of that story but none was saying anything, until later, the said dead man announced that he was not dead and that he was hale and hearty.
On reaching home i told my children how depressed i was when i received the news, the first thing my son asked was that ” how does that concern you when you dint even know him personally”? And it down on me, i’m relating this now to my self because a day will come when an announcement will come as. INNALILLAHI WA INNA’ILAIHI RAJIUN’. we have just lost a very dear friend, wife, mother and may be grand mother and so many other titles that might be used which will be appealing to the situation on ground all the sweet things will be said about me, but that will be just by the way’ i will be gone and gone for good, i believe some of you will feel exactly what i felt yesterday, others will say serves her right was she not like this or like that? as if we both dint know our exit point and our final destination.
Had the richest man in Africa truly fallen that yesterday, many  would have been saying different things cos as human beings we like to talk apparently about what does not concern us, his family would have been calculating how his acquired wealth will be shared, and same goes to all of us today, so never be a slave to money, take time out of your busy schedule and give your self a treat it is called self care.  Because if you don’t, the moment you are not there life still continue with or without you.May we all live a live worthy of emulation and live a good and lasting legacy when its our time to take a bow..

Minister of Sports and Youths Development, Solomon Dalung, turned 52 today and has shared a lengthy account of his life on Facebook.

The minister, who has come under heavy criticism for his in-activeness as Nigeria’s minister of sports, noted that life has not been easy with him, adding that his parents could only take him through secondary school.
He wrote, “Today marks another turning point in my life as I remember the day I arrived this planet called Earth. On this day a young woman had her first pilgrimage to the traditional labour room in Sabongida village in the then Resettlement Area now Langtang South Local Government Area in Plateau State.
“It took me nine years to study a five year law course due to unsolicited donation of four years from ASUU Strikes, from 1991-1999. I was full of joy and praises to God for realizing my ambition of been a graduate.“Proceeding to Nigerian Law School Bwari was another Miracle because how I raised the huge budget of registration requirements is left to be imagined, but I remembered receiving contributions from friends, associates and kind Hearted Nigerians.“At least, I made the Law School and graduated and was called to Nigerian Bar as the first person to be a Lawyer in my native Local Government Area.
“Being the only child of my mother, I lack the comfort of either juniors or senior siblings. Every decision is usually subjected to the armed forces ruling council of my mind. If it works fine but where it fails then I learn to live with it. This contributed much in my depending more on God than any other effort or man.
“The name Solomon Selcan Dalung means different things to different people. I am not admired by the elites because many detested my self-opinionated lifestyle and wonder what was my source of confidence. Many see me as controversial personality while to some I am a radical.
“There are many who hate my guts hence referred to me as a pompous personality. Some have even expressed it publicly that I am a wicked person and there are those who believed that I am a good and kind human being.
“Whichever way you look at it people are free to hold opinions about you but my request is that people should be honest enough to express same opinions when I finally bow out. Please do not come and lie on that day or sing hypocritical praises of me.
“Despite all odds God has been faithful to me in all trials. He had proved to me that He is God. In my mind every day I say thank you Lord. I would have venture into celebrating it this year as the society would expect but ironically the economic reality does not encourage it.
“Instead of organizing celebrations spending so much in the name of my birth, I am appealing to all those who love me to kindly show love to other people who are in need by assisting with anything your mind convinces you do.
“It could be food or foodstuff to anybody you know is in need that will be the greatest birthday gift. All those rushing for expensive and customized birthday cards are also advised to deploy the money into charity, I will appreciate more.
“For me I will prefer to die with my ideas because I had traveled with them all through these years. I will concentrate on promoting peace, justice, love and equity in our society.
“I will re-dedicate my life to preaching religious harmony among st Nigerians and also ensure that I serve my country selflessly having been given this opportunity.
“The secret of my life is forgiveness and it has been my source of strength. I always put everything behind me and move on with life. I stand with Nigerians during this period of hardship and pray to God to grant us the grace of overcoming it. I love you all and God bless Nigeria.”

Organized labour including NLC, TUC, NUPENG, PENGASSAN said they are set for mass revolt, civil unrest worse than the anti-SAP riots of 1989 over the propose sale of nationals assets. – Labour said it is ready to shut Nigeria over the planned sale, which they argued would not profit the nation but a few privileged Nigerians Share on Facebook Share on Twitter President Buhari wants to sell major assets of the country to finance the 2016 budget Should the President Muhammadu Buhari led FG proceed with its propose sale of nationals assets to fund the 2016 budget.

Organized labour including NLC, TUC, NUPENG, PENGASSAN said they are set for mass revolt, civil unrest worse than the anti-SAP riots of 1989. The minister for Budget and Planning Minister, Udoma Udo Udoma however said the Federal Government would not sell critical national assets to shore up its foreign reserves as well as have funds to retool the economy against the current downward plunge.
However labour said it is ready to shut Nigeria over the planned sale, which they argued would not profit the nation but a few privileged Nigerians. While reacting, PENGASSAN said; “Any attempt to sell these national assets will be met with stiff resistance from the Association, as PENGASSAN will galvanize every support, including that of our sister union and labour centres, to shut down this country by ensuring that every activity in the oil and gas sector is brought to a complete halt.  “Some opportunists in the cloak of businessmen and short-sighted politicians had earlier advocated the sale of public assets such as the NLNG, four state-owned refineries. Nigeria’s stakes in Africa Finance Corporation, AFC, the nation’s airports and reduction of government’s shares in upstream oil joint venture operations and this was approved by the National Economic Council, NEC.” “The proponents of the sale of national assets are those who have been actively involved in the operations of the nation’s economy in the past. They were part of those responsible for the country’s current economic situation. “Moreover, such sales in the past, including the power and steel sectors privatization, were just a shift from public to private monopoly which has further worsened those sectors. “It is, therefore, the candid position of PENGASSAN that such plan should be thrown into the trash bin. Government should continue to seek better ways to address the present economic challenges and reduce areas of wastages.” On its part, NUPENG through its General Secretary, Mr. Joseph Ogbebor, said; “We will resist the sale with all our might.
It is not in the best interest of Nigerians. It will only compound the unemployment in the country. It will also compound the restiveness and agitation in the Niger Delta. There is no way we are going to accept it. If the President is really a patriot as claimed, he should not yield to the pressure because enemies of the country are at work. “However, our organs will meet either as NUPENG or jointly with PENGASSAN to deal with it. Certainly, it is unacceptable, unpatriotic, anti-Nigeria and must be rejected and resisted by all.
We call on Mr. President to declare a state of emergency on the economy and summon an all-encompassing stakeholders meeting to brainstorm on how the present economic challenges can be quickly addressed. “NUPENG is of the view that Nigeria is a big market and certain measures should be put in place to reflate the economy so that it will be an investors’ destination.”, the TUC through its acting secretary general, Simeso Amachree said; “We are not going to accept it and we will resist appropriately. As it was done before, it is an attempt to take over the national assets.
“Like we stated earlier, the idea should be dropped or they will incur the wrath of workers. “It is our thinking that if those clamoring for the sales pay their appropriate taxes, there would be enough money to bring the country out of the woods without sacrificing our national assets. “Truly, we appreciate the concern of some sincere people in government, especially President Muhammadu Buhari, who is working tirelessly to fix the economy. But we get worried when people suggest we sell investments like NLNG which provided the money for the bailout of states when they could not pay salaries or concession our airports. On what grounds? “The Congress will mobilize and resist any further sale or concession of our national assets under whatever guise.” Meanwhile, Nigeria’s minister of finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, has revealed that she cannot predict when the country will out of the current economic recession. The PDP deputy chairman in plateau state, Amos Gombi on friday in Jos has urged INEC to conduct fresh election for Mr Dariye of plateau central senitorial seat, this he stated is in accordance with the section 69 sub-section (1) of the 1999 constitution as amended , since he has abandoned the part on whose platform he was elected.
The defection of senator Joshua Chibi Dariye has erupt mix reactions from different angles, others call him a political prostitute while to others he is a smart guy who always know how to play his cards in other to get what he really wants.

The head boy, as he is fondly called took the public by surprise when he on September 22 handed over a latter of defection to the senate making know his move to the house to move to the all progressive congress party.

Some alleged that they foresaw it coming along time ago, this was as a result of the great role which the ‘head boy’ played during the past election which user in his serving speaker during his reign as a governor in plateau state, speculation has it that he it was, who followed Bauchi state with the southern zone report to submit at the INEC office which according to the speculations, there was a road block mapped out to attack those coming with the result and temper with it.

To others, he is always going with the ruling party because he always wants to be in the high helm of affairs, some who describe him as power drunk who can go to any length to achieve his goals.

One cannot wonder but to view things from a different angle with an eagle eye, Because the Kawun mushere has been under probed for embezzlement of public funds which has in the past gotten him some invitations from the EFCC office, could the speculation about finding a softer landing in this anti-corruption regime be the possible reason for this sudden defection? Only time will tell…
