The president says Nigerian is solidly behind the reelection bid of the president of African Development Bank (AFDB).
Buhari in a tweet further state that, ” We will work with all leaders, and stakeholders, in AFDB to ensure he gets reelected, on the strength of his achievement during this first term”

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control has reported 416 new cases of #COVID-19.
The high figures came shortly after the federal government has relaxed the lockdown which has been ongoing for over two months now in the whole country.
The report shows that Lagos is still high with about 192 cases, while Edo has 41 new cases. Total deaths now reached to 299, with Lagos state earlier announcing 9 new deaths recorded today.

Lagos alone has up to 378 new cases while FCT trolls behind with 52 new cases. Delta State has 23 while Edo recorded 22 amongst others. These figures brings the total number of infected persons to 9855 with 285 discharge and 273 deaths.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reconstitution of the board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
According to a statement by Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president, the reconstitution comes after the expiration of the term of the board members appointed in 2016.
Members of the new board are Mohammed Lawal (north west), Tajudeen Umar (north east), Adamu Mahmood Attah (north central), Magnus Abe (south south), Stephen Dike (south east), and Pius Akinyelure (south west).
Akinyelure, former national vice chairman of the All Progressives Congress, south west zone, returns as the representative of his zone.
The new board will be in place for three years.
Adesina’s statement did not state who would serve as the board’s chairman.
Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, former minister of state for petroleum resources, served as the board chairman from 2016.
He was replaced by John Asuquo Thomas, who served as alternate chairman, until Timipre Sylva was appointed as minister of state.
However, Sylvia has not been officially announced as the board chairman.
Thomas was the first managing director of the Eleme (Indorama) Petrochemical Company where he led the team that negotiated the financing of the Eleme Project.
He also served as NNPC GMD and voluntarily retired in 1992.

Kellie who after sending her condolences to the family of George Floyd where she said she was so devasted, has disclosed in a statement that she has filed a divorce through her attorney.
Former officer Chauvin was yesterday convicted for a third-degree murder of George Floyd. While many thinks she has taken the right steps, others feels marriage is for better or worse.
The death has just been announced of the Former Group Managing director the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC) Maikanti Baru.
This information was disclosed by Mele Kyari, the current GMD of the state-run oil company.
“My brother, my friend and my mentor, Dr Maikanti Kachalla Baru, immediate past GMD of NNPC died late last night,” Kyari said.
“He was of exemplary character and disposition. May Allah forgive him and have mercy upon him.”
Baru was appointed NNPC GMD by President Muhammadu Buhari in July 2016, a position he held up until 2019.
The Nigerian Center for Disease Control has released a total number of 387 new cases of coronavirus in the country on Friday 29th May.
