Meet Nigerian female pilot who landed her chopper in the ocean to save her 13 passengers


This Nigerian heroine, a female Pilot had made an emergency landing in water to save her 13 passengers.

Abimbola Jaiyeola became the first Nigerian female helicopter captain to pilot a Helicopter in 2014 where she was flying the Sikorsky S76 for Bristow Helicopters Nigeria

Two years after becoming a helicopter pilot, she shocked many people on the course of her duty., when she bravely prevented her 13 passengers from dying.

Her chopper reportedly developed faults while flying Port Harcourt to Lagos, she immediately declared an emergency and tried to land the chopper but made a last-minute decision where she ditched the chopper in the Atlantic Ocean making an emergency landing and saving all 13 passengers on board.

Ditching is known as making an emergency landing on water. She reportedly used the floatation gear to control the Helicopter inside the water.
