Breaking News -Kano state to go on total lockdown for 7 days- COVID-19
Kano state government has also joined the fight against the novels Coronovirus disease which has been fast spreading in Nigeria now.
In a statement signed by the chief press secretary to Kano state governor Abba Anwar, starting from Thursday 16th of April, the state is going to be on total lockdown. This is to help out in tracing contacts as well as curtail the spread in the state which already has some index cases.
“From Thursday 16th April by 10pm Kano is locked down for the benefit of all in the state. All markets are closed and all public gatherings are banned. The lockdown is for 7 days. We then wait and see what will come up. We are hoping that Allah will see us through,” Gov. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje
