How Ms. Dagan was murdered in her home on Monday night plus burial details
The 47-year-old Plateau state lady Laetitia Naankang Dagan, who was killed by gunmen in her Abuja residence on Monday night after she left the State House about 8 pm was reportedly killed by some criminals who are known to be Yahoo boys living within the neighborhood.
A source that pleaded anonymity claimed that the deceased found that her environs in Lokogoma, an outskirts of the Abuja city centre was surrounded by Yahoo boys, which made her uncomfortable and told some of her friends that she was contemplating to relocate.
The source said it was out of concern over the presence of the boys that the deceased decided to report the suspected Yahoo boys to the police.
However, the police, relent in taking action but rather freed the suspects later, and the information leaked pointing out the deceased as the culprit who leads to their arrest and decided to embarked on a revenge mission.
She was reportedly tied in her apartment where she lived alone and subjected to all manners of torture before they strangled her to death and set the objects she was tied with ablaze.
The source also revealed that one of the killers took their victim’s mobile telephone away as he mistook it for his and left his own telephone at the crime scene.
The deceased, according to a statement by Deputy Director, Information, Mr. Attah Esa, on Tuesday, worked in her State House office on Monday till 8 pm, only to be gruesomely murdered in her apartment at 11 pm by unknown persons.
Meanwhile, a wake was held at her lokogoma residence this evening in Abuja, while a candle-lit prayer was also held at her family residence in Jos.
The report also indicates that her remains will depart the Asokoro general hospital at 6:30 am on Friday 21st February for an onward journey to her hometown in Kwangpan Local Government area of plates state for a requiem Mass at St. Patric church, final internment takes place at the family burial ground
