NAHCON partners with ABU, BUK to establish Hajj training Institute
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) is set to partner with two prestigious northern universities for the establishment of Hajj institute.
The outgoing Ag. Chairman/ CEO Barr. Abdullahi Muktar and his successor Barr. Zikhirulla Hassan met with the Vice Chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Professor Ibrahim Garba on the 5th February to discuss partnership towards the Formation of the Hajj Institute.
The meeting was graced by NAHCON’s Director Admin and Human resources Dr Ibrahim Sodangi and Ahmad Maigari the Acting Secretary of the Commission.
It may be recalled that during the screening of Barr Zikhirullah by the Senate one of his mandate was to establish the Hajj training institute in order to professionalize Hajj Management, In his remarks Barrister Zikhirullah observed that other professions like photography and event management have been professionalized and being fully studied in universities, hence the need for establishing the institute in order to weed out quacks from Hajj management.
