Lagos state set to build hostel for LASU after 36 years.
The lagos state government has concluded plans to build a hostel of about 8,272 unit in the school campus after 36 years since the establishment of the school.
Lagos state Babjide Sanwo-Olu has signed a build, operate and transfer (BOT) agreement with the six private developers who are going to handle and deliver the project in the next 18 months.
In a statement issued by the chief press secretary to the governor, Gboyega Akosile on Saturday 21st December, the deal which will constitute the building of a six blocks of hall of residence, was wrapped under the public private partnerships (PPP) policy of the state.
Although the concession will run for 35 years, it is expected that 30% of the school’s 26,000 student population will be served when finally completed and delivered in 2021.
