With Patience, You can Achieve A lot- Wase Tells Aides.


Deputy Speaker Ahmed Idris has urged his aides to be patient while discharging their duties.

The deputy speaker was speaking during a capacity building which was held to train the aides on their duties.

The message was made known in a press statement by the press secretary to the Deputy Speaker, Muhammad Puma. Read on.

“The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon Ahmed Idris Wase has urged his aides to be patience in the cause of doing their jobs as legislative aides.

Speaking at the capacity building workshop for staff in his office, organized by Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC), Wase said he believed with patience, a lot will be achieved urging them to apply the knowledge they acquired in their various responsibilities in the next three and half years.

“I want to say that I’m impressed by the number of people that are here and the contribution and efforts you have made are encouraging, I assured you that I will try and lift the trust bestowed on me and promise that I’m not going to disappoint you.

In his remark, the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Speaker, Hon Aminu Ibrahim Malle, tasked the appointees to emulate the patience and resilience of the Deputy Speaker and to brace up for the task ahead.

He dismissed claims that the Deputy Speaker has a short temperament, saying he learned a lot from him when he was a member of the 8th House of Representatives and now as his chief of staff.
