Minister Of Women Affairs Pleads With Senators To Consider Women In The Budget, Says Women’s Votes Brought Them There.
The honorable minister of women affairs Mrs. Pauline Tallen has made a passionate appeal to senator to not slash the budget of the ministry.
Pauline made the plea at the Public Hearing On 2020 National Budget at the national assembly today 23rd October 2020.
The hon minister reminded the honorable members that women played a significant role in the chunk of the votes that brought most of them in power, therefore, should not be forgotten.
Similarly, professor Nazifi Abdullahi Darma, while answering questions encouraged women empowerment which according to him, some women when placed in a position of money yield better results.
Professor Darma also pleads with the senators to work as a team with their governors to deliver the dividend of democracy to the people who elected them, stressing that they are the only representative of the public.
Furthermore, the professor also emphasized the issue of transparency and visibility in spending in governance everything will be achieved.
