Read as president Buhari Approves N10 Billion For Enugu Airport Upgrade


President Muhadmmadu Buhari has disclossed the approval of the sum of N10 billion as intervention fund for the rehabilitation of Akanu Ibiam International airport Enugu.

Buhari made the disclosure today Thursday on his verified twitter handle, saying, he is optimistic that the work will be done and completed in time.

He said his administration will continue to prioritise infrastructural development in the country despite limited funds available.

I have approved the sum of 10 billion Naira for an Intervention fund for the upgrade of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu. I have the assurance of the Minister of Aviation that the work will be done speedily and to the highest standards,” he tweeted.

“Even as we have many items competing for our limited resources, we will continue to prioritize infrastructure investments in every part of the country. It is our responsibility to ensure Nigeria’s infrastructure is fixed; we will keep doing this.”

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has held its first Management meeting in its permanent it’s complex, “HAjj House”.

The commission who until now, has been operating at the Sokoto House in Ahmadu Bello way in the central district area, Abuja, is now being relocated to its permanent site in Garki Area 8.

Reports have it that French President, Emmanuel Macron, allegedly ordered the Chadian President, Idriss Deby, to instruct the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, a Chadian, to terminate Chihombori-Quao’s appointment.

More Troubles For Senator Aboh As Police release Fresh Evidence In Court.


Police have submitted new CCTV footage evidence as more proof of the assault on a nursing mother in a sex toy shop in Abuja emerges.

Prosecution counsel, James Idachaba, opened his case the last adjourned day told the court that they stumbled stumble on additional proof of evidence of the closed-circuit television that captured the incident.

The Senator representing Adamawa North at the 9th Assembly, Senator Elisha Aboh could be in more trouble for the new evidence.

However, defense counsel Adegbite Adeniyi made the application for an adjournment, stating that, he needs to watch the new evidence since it was given to give in court.

He said, ” the laws give us the right to be given time to go through such proof of evidence before the case can continue” he also added that his client was ready for the defense before the emergence of the additional evidence which according to him has hindered their preparations.

The presentation counsel, however, did not object the application saying it Is their rights to ask for more time to study the electronically generally generated evidence in line with the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA)

The case was then adjourned to 19th November by magistrate Abdullahi Illellah.

Aisha Buhari Apologises over Leaked Video, Says Spokesperson


First Lady Aisha Buhari, has tendered apologies over a leaked video of her protesting at the Presidential Villa.

Buhari’s wife, in a statement by her spokesperson, Suleiman Haruna, tendered apologies to her children, immediate family members and Nigerians over the embarrassment that the video has caused.

The First Lady reportedly tendered the apologies during a solidarity visit by governors’ wives from the 36 states at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.

“Commenting on the videos circulating on social networks, Mrs. Buhari extended her apology to her children, her immediate family members and all well-meaning Nigerians over the embarrassment that the videos had caused,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, the First Lady has expressed her resolve to construct a regional secretariat for the African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM).

We’ll Initiate National Cooperative Housing Scheme for Informal Sector, Says Fashola


Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has said the Federal Government plans to initiate a National Cooperative Housing Scheme in the country as a provision to bring the informal sector into the nation’s Housing Programme.

Fashola, who spoke at the unveiling of Karmod Nigeria Limited’s Pre-Fabricated Assembly and Installation Building facility in Abuja, said the objective was to use cooperatives as a driving force in the country’s housing programme, adding that their success in markets, in transportation and agriculture, among other areas of the economy would be an incentive to achieve success in the sector.

The minister, who said the government would also leverage on the successes and numerical strength of the cooperatives manifested in the many unions and associations they have in every state of the country, added that they would be mobilised under the aegis of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria to obtain loans to develop…

Aisha Buhari Gets 6 New Aides, Thank Mr President For The Appointments


After a dramatic week on social media and trends in the news Nigerian first Lady, Aisha Buhari, has been awarded 6 new aides to her office by the president Muhammadu Buhari.

The First Lady, has expressed appreciation to President Buhari for the approval of six aides to her office on Wednesday, when she received wives of governors who visited her at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The appointees include:

1) Dr. Mairo Almakura– Special Assistant on African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM)

2) Muhammed Albishir- Special Assistant on Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD)

3) Wole Aboderin – Special Assistant on Non-Governmental Organizations

4) Barr. Aiyu Abdullahi – Special Assistant on Media and Publicity

5) Zainab Kazeem– Special Assistant on Domestic and Social Events

6) Funke Adesiyan– Personal Assistant on Domestic and Social Events

The appointments take immediate effect.
