Final Batch of Pilgrims to return home tomorrow after completing a successful 2019 Hajj Operations.

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON, has successfully completed it’s 2019 hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia as well as the returned of the pilgrims back to Nigeria.

NAHCON Ag. Chairman/CEO in company of operations commissioner addressed staff to mark end of the Operations at the Jedda airport. Prayers were also conducted with staff returning to Nigeria aboard Max Air NGL2024 bound for Abuja and Bauchi respectively.

A statement, signed by the Head of Public Affairs Hajiya Fatima Sanda Usara, stated that the last set of pilgrims as well as officials today Wednesday 11th September 2019 departs to Nigeria marking the end of Operations as well as airlift of Pilgrims back to Nigeria.

The statement Reads:

NAHCON CONCLUDES HAJJ 2019 RETURN JOURNEY

Today, 11th September 2019 NAHCON (National Hajj Commission of Nigeria) registered its last flight NGL 2124 Max Air, back to Nigeria, signifying the end of the 2019 Hajj operations. The Commission therefore has the honour of expressing gratitude to the Almighty for facilitating the successful conclusion of 2019 Hajj airlift back to Nigeria three days ahead of schedule. The exercise that started on 17th of August spanned 26 days under 91 trips.

NAHCON Chairman, Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad, hence, seizes this opportunity to congratulate and commend Nigerian state pilgrims’ welfare board officials and executives for their patience, dedication and support to their respective pilgrims. It is the Commission’s prayer that the Almighty continues to guide all pilgrims’ operatives towards success in the discharge of their responsibilities to them.

Barrister Mukhtar equally extends the same appreciation to Max Air and FlyNas for their efficiency in airlifting pilgrims and their luggage safely to Nigeria within the fixed time. He likewise recognises the civil conduct of Nigerian pilgrims during the just concluded exercise through which they carved a positive name for themselves in the host country. The same appreciation goes to accommodation providers in both Makkah and Madinah, transportation providers, caterers in the two cities as well as Masha’ir and all Nahcon staff, members of the Ulama team, medical team, media, security as well as all other officials that played their roles in the interest of Nigerian pilgrims. The Commission prays that each party involved in the success of the 2019 operation be rewarded with more successes in all their life endeavours.
