A woman was today fished out by the officials of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare board when she was trying to board the plane with other intending pilgrim’s to Saudi Arabia to perform the 2019 Hajj operations.
The executive secretary of the board mallam Sani Alhassan made this known in an interview with journalists.
According to Alhassan, the woman was said to be 8 months pregnant, and that she has allegedly scaled through all the necessary tests being carried out for the intending pilgrims. Luck was said to have run out on her when one of the officials saw her trying to board while holding unto her hand luggage and quickly stopped her from boarding the plane.
About 889 pilgrims have been airlifted, while pilgrims from the remaining 9 local government of the state pilgrims are yet to be airlifted.
